Front Entrance Project Update

The monuments on the entrance and exit sides of the community are complete, fall cleaning on the landscaping was performed and the mulch has been laid.  The builder has completed installing the brick walls and signs for the entrance and exit sides of the front entrance.  The builder is now working on deliverables for the center island and the back entrance.  Landscaping for the front and back entrances are planned for early Spring 2018.

Feedback from the community has been very positive:

  • Want to express to you that our main entrance is really looking nice.  The bricks matched better than I had anticipated.  I think it looks very classic and stately.  Good job and thank you for sweating the details.
  • Looking great [up front]
  • Look good, you all are doing a great job.
  • Looks beautiful cannot wait for the center to be done.
  • Thumbs up
  • Definite improvement, especially when the accent lights are on.  No need for additional lights.  It looks well-lit when approaching the front entrance.

Center Island

The next step is to update the center island monument.  By collaborating with the community, we have achieved an elegant design for center island.  Caps and coping that will be added to the top and columns and new signs with WH will replace the existing signs.  This design complements the side walls and gives the front entrance a balance and consistent appearance.  The builder estimates that materials for this phase will be available in late December.

Back Entrance

The final phase of the Woodmore Highlands hardscape renovations includes refurbishing the two back entrance monuments. Actual work will replace the existing caps, coping, and signage.  The design was presented at the November 2017 Board meeting where attendees proposed changes and voted on the selected option.

We are excited about the upgrades to both the front and rear entrances.  These upgrades create an elegant design that welcomes Woodmore Highlands homeowners and visitors.
