Trash and Recycling Container Guidelines
Proper placement and storage of trash and recycling containers within our community is a requirement!
Collection Schedule:
Tuesdays: Recycling and Trash Fridays: Trash only
The City of Bowie’s waste collection schedule is available on the City’s website, https://www.cityofbowie.org/1137/Trash-Recycling. We recommend reviewing the information regularly for the collection schedule, proper waste disposal procedures, and other important waste management guidelines.
Container Placement Requirements:
Containers may not be placed at the curb before 5:00 PM on the day prior to your scheduled collection day. All containers must be returned to storage and out of public view promptly after collection.
Enforcement Notice:
Effective October 1, 2026, the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) will begin issuing written violation notices and assessing applicable fines for each occurrence when a homeowner’s trash or recycling containers remain visible from the street after the scheduled collection day has concluded.
We appreciate your adherence to these guidelines.

2026 Scheduled HOA Meetings
The 2026 monthly HOA meetings will be virtual and will start at 6:30 pm. Links to the meetings will be emailed to the homeowners the Monday before the meeting.

ACC Corner
Do you have an exterior alternation for your home? Don't forget to send the ACC an application for your modifications. Download a copy of the Architectural Control Guidelines for information on the specific requirements for your alterations. If you have any questions contact the acc at ACC@woodmorehighlands.org.
If the ACC guidelines are not followed, the homeowner may be fined and assessed a fine for each subsequent noncompliance after the initial fine.
