2024 Annual Assessment Increase |
The annual assessments will increase to $335 in 2024. This increase is per the reserve study results combined with the increase in expenses required to maintain the common areas in the community. Details on the increase were discussed during the Board of Directors meeting held in August.

2023 Scheduled HOA Meetings |
The monthly HOA meetings will be virtual until further notice. Links to the meetings will be emailed to the homeowners the Monday before the meeting. All meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

ACC Corner
Storing Trash & Recycle Receptacles
 All trash and recycling containers must be stored out of sight on the resident’s property.
All refuse shall be placed at the curb for collection no earlier than 6pm on the evening before collection and shall be returned to their original location prior to 10pm the day of collection.
Failure to comply with this guideline may result in the homeowner being fined and being assessed a fine for each occurrence of non compliance after the initial fine.

In Memoriam |
Brad Carson
September 10, 1946 - August 12, 2023
Bradford L. Carson was a long-time resident of Woodmore Highlands in Bowie, MD. He passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, after complications from diabetes and heart disease. Brad lived with his wife, Melody on Dunwood Ridge Terr for 27 years.
Brad was a highly respected financial consultant and investment broker. He was also active in his community and politics. While living in Connecticut, he was a news reporter for WDRC radio. For over a decade he served on the Board of Directors of EPIC, a Maryland nonprofit dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Temple Hills, MD
In lieu of flowers, the HOA will make a donation on behalf on Woodmore Highlands to EPIC.
The Board of Directors send heartfelt condolences to the Carson family.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. |
A mural of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is painted on the external wall of the Bowie City Gym facing Northview Dr. The 22-foot-tall mural was painted by contemporary muralist, Desiree Kelly from Michigan. The mural represents the legacy of Dr. King and his fight for social justice.

 On September 28, 2022, our own neighbor and Mayor, Tim Adams spoke at the White House when President Biden delivered remarks marking Disability Pride Month. Watch the video on Mayor Adams' speech.

City of Bowie Bag It & Can It Effective November 1, 2021.
All food waste, scraps, cooking oil, pet waste and diapers must be placed into a trash bag. Trash bags that contain these items or any other trash that attracts animals must be inside a trash can with a lid for collections. Failure to comply to this new law can result in fines being issued by the City of Bowie.
